Law enforcement officials are searching for unknown attackers who have shelled a police station from a mortar in Turkey’s Izmir province, local media report.
No casualties have been reported as a result of the incident, Trend reports with reference to the Anadolu agency.
Istanbul is holding a special operation to detain those suspected of having ties to terrorist organizations in 10 districts of the city. Several suspects have already been detained, but the number hasn’t been specified.
