Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga has denied reports that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit Iran in this year.
The Nikkei newspaper reported about Abe's intention to visit Tehran, which could become the first trip of the country’s leader in 38 years. According to it, Abe will be accompanied by a group of entrepreneurs and heads of Japanese companies.
The Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida visited Iran in October 2015 and the Iranian Minister for Economy and Finances Ali Tayebnia visited Tokyo in February 2016.
