Russian-Tajik joint command-and-staff exercises in Tajikistan was completed at the Harbmaidon training area. They were held on March 27-30 at five polygons of Tajikistan.
During the final stage, the special forces worked out cooperation in the detection, blocking and destruction of illegal armed formations.
"BTR-80, BTR-82, BMP-2, T-72 tanks, 122-mm self-propelled howitzers 2S1 Gvozdika and multiple rocket launchers BM-21 Grad were widely used during tactical events training," the press service of the Central Military District said.
The joint group of forces was supported by a joint aviation group. It included Su-24M bombers, Su-25 assault planes, Tu-22M3 long-range bombers, as well as Mi-8 and Mi-24 transport and combat helicopters.More than 2,000 servicemen took part in the final stage of the exercises at the Harbmaidon training area, about 700 military and special equipment were involved.
