Kazakh Parliament starts working on draft law on amendments to Constitution

Kazakh Parliament has started consideration of the draft law "On amendments and additions to some constitutional laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

MP Nurlan Abdirov, speaking at the plenary session, recalled that recently the country's President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law "On amendments and additions to some constitutional laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan." According to the MP, its implementation requires "bringing a number of constitutional laws of Kazakhstan into line with the amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic"

Nazarbayev signed amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 10. The changes are aimed at strengthening the role of the parliament, increasing the autonomy and responsibility of the government, as well as improving the constitutional framework of law enforcement and the judicial systems.
