Kazakh parliament has given final approval to legislation that would amend the country’s constitution, curtailing some presidential powers and redistributing them to government ministers and lawmakers.
The proposed legislation approved on March 6 will become law once it is signed by President Nursultan Nazarbaev, who has endorsed the changes, the press-service of the Kazakh Parliament’ lower chamber said.
The document was approved in the first reading on March 3.
