 Kazakh President urges tighten control over budget process

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired a meeting on budget planning in Akorda.

The session was attended by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, first Deputy PM, Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov, Deputy PMs Berdibek Saparbayeva and Zhenis Kasymbek, Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Natalya Godunova and the leadership of the President's Office.

The head of state was informed about main parameters of the state budget project for the upcoming three years.

Tokayev said the project looks balanced and meets the demands of social and economic development of Kazakhstan. He also underlined the importance of continuing the work on increasing effective budget costs and further increasing of revenues, AKIpress reported.

The Kazakh leader ordered the government to tighten control over budget process. According to him, the budget should finance the priority projects that give maximum gain to the country.
