An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in Kazakhstan today, a representative of the Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee of Kazakhstan said.
"The earthquake occurred at 8:43 local time (5:43 MSK), 358 kilometers to the south of the city of Almaty," RIA Novosti reports.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 5 kilometers. No damage or injuries have been reported.
