The latest statements from Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei put the Iranian-US negotiations under question.
Speaking at the meeting with the representatives of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in Tehran, Khamenei said that the negotiations with the US "are banned, because they only impose losses to the country".
The leader said that the negotiations have "many disadvantages and no advantages".
He noted that during the nuclear talks the US side tried to influence Iranian negotiators. While saying that Iran's negotiators were "vigilant", Khamenei added that the US side took chances to act against Iran's national interests.
“Negotiation with the US means opening the path for their influence in Iran’s economic, cultural, political and security affairs,” Trend cited Khamenei as saying.
