Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili made a phone call to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Kvirikashvili extended his congratulations on Mehriban Aliyeva's appointment as first vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that this appointment will have a positive impact on the strengthening of the Georgian-Azerbaijani relations.

Both Azerbaijani President and Georgian Prime Minister expressed confidence that relations between the two countries will continue developing in political, economic, energy and other areas.
Ilham Aliyev said the Third Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council was successfully held today, and thanked Kvirikashvili for Georgia's high-level representation at the event.
