Two earthquakes have been registered in Kyrgyzstan earlier this morning, the Seismological Experimental and Methodical Expedition of the Science Committee of Kazakhstan said.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 points has been registered 160 km from Almaty at a depth of 10 km at 06.41 local time, the second earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 points has been registered there at 06.55 local time, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.
No information was provided on possible casualties or destruction.
