Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted an invitation to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in November in the Philippines capital Manila, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting with the President of the Senate of the Philippines, Franklin Drilon.
Moscow backs in principle "the Philippines’ proposal to hold a bilateral meeting of the presidents of the two countries on the sidelines of APEC," TASS cited Lavrov as saying.
