Lavrov: Western politicians interested not in real state of affairs in Crimea, but in politicization of this issue

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the refusal of foreign politicians and public figures to visit Crimea through Russia a politicization of the referendum issue and demonstration of non-recognition of its results.

He stressed that in order to understand the objective situation in Crimea, Western politicians simply need to visit the republic.

"You just have to go there and see everything with your own eyes, as it was seen by those members of the public, political parties from Europe, who, on their own initiative, went to the referendum," Lavrov said at the Munich Security Conference.
