Lavrov comments on Pompeo’s remarks about Russian ‘meddling’ in U.S. elections

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s remarks about Russian ‘meddling’ in U.S. elections are unfounded and outrageous.

"The United States’ unfounded accusations have never been supported by anything at all," Lavrov stressed, citing the results of the Mueller report.

Nevertheless, the Americans keep repeating these allegations, the Russia top diplomat added. "In particular, the U.S. administration’s spokesperson repeats these bogus stories without bothering to furnish any hard facts," TASS cited him as saying.

Lavrov expressed hope that when he meet with Pompeo next time, they will talk about it.
