Former Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for initiating a 'pogrom' at the Foreign Ministry.
Following the coalition talks, after Lieberman rejected a proposal to lead the Foreign Ministry for the third time in a row and joined the opposition, the functions of foreign policy were divided between six different policies, and Netanyahu retained the portfolio of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with the positions of the minister of communications, health and regional cooperation.
"I think it's just absurd. What the prime minister did in respect of the Foreign Ministry can be called a pogrom. I cannot even consume another term in relation to what has happened with the Israeli Foreign Ministry. All our foreign policy suffers from it," RIA Novosti cited Lieberman as saying.
