Belarus and Georgia should do everything to strengthen friendship between their peoples, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said at the meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.
"We have a great momentum in bilateral relations. We, politicians, should do everything possible for strengthening friendship between our nations," Kobakhidze stressed. According to him, Belarus and Georgia have been developing constructive inter-parliamentary cooperation.
"We have excellent political and diplomatic relations, and also a strong friendship between our peoples. For us it is very important to have a close relationship between Georgia and the Republic of Belarus. We know that your personal contribution to this is huge, and we are grateful for all this,” BelTA cited Kobakhidze as saying.
He also held talks with Speaker of the Council of the Republic of Belarus' National Assembly Mikhail Myasnikovich.
