One of the oldest Georgian equestrian sports called Marula is reviving in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti (the Western part of Georgia), the government website says.
Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili attended a traditional horse race in Senaki. Riders from all over Georgia participated in the event.
Kvirikashvili hoped the old tradition would soon be brought back to life and Senaki would become the centre of horse riding. Agenda.ge reports.
