The Day of the Republic of Dagestan was held yesterday in the framework of the North Caucasian Youth Forum 'Mashuk-2016'.
"The Delegation of the republic presented several traditional homesteads. Guests of the festival will be able to get acquainted with such handicrafts as pottery, weaving, wood processing and jewelry, TASS reports.
The forum was attended by the chairman of the government of Dagestan, Abdusamad Hamidov, the minister of tourism and folk crafts of the Dagestani Republic, Magomed Isayev, and the mayor of Derbent, Malik Bagliyev. They discussed issues of professional and social self-realization of the youth in the region, a possibility of state support for youth projects, prospects for development of a patriotic education system in the country. It was announced that the state bodies of Dagestan intend to continue improving the mechanisms of interaction with the youth activists in the regions.
"The day ended with a gala concert with the participation of artists and musical groups of the republic," the press service of 'Mashuk' noted.
This year 481 representatives of Dagestan will visit the North Caucasian Youth Educational Forum "Mashuk-2016", they will present their projects in all thematic categories of the forum.
