An international conference chaired by US Central Command (CENTCOM) is being held today in the Qatari capital to discuss the formation and deployment of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza.
Representatives from more than 45 countries participate directly, but Türkiye has not been invited to the Doha conference, according to the Israeli media outlet Haaretz. The presumed reason for this is Israel's veto on Türkiye's participation.
The conference was convened amid ongoing disagreements between Israel and Washington over implementing the second phase of the "Trump plan" for Gaza. This follows a recent U.S. statement that it is "investigating" whether an Israeli airstrike that killed a senior Hamas commander violated the terms of the current ceasefire.
