The Azerbaijan Sports Journalists' Association (ASJA) has unveiled the names of the winners of its sports nominations in 2015.
Azerbaijan’s first lady, the chairwoman of the Organizing Committee of the European Games, Mehriban Aliyeva, was declared the sports personality of the year.

The executive director of the Bakı Şəhər Halqası company, Arif Rahimov, was named 'Sports Organizer of the Year' by ASJA.
The 'Team of the Year' award was won by the Qarabag soccer club and the men’s national boxing and taekwondo teams.
Coach of the national boxing team, Pedro Rogue, the Qarabag soccer club’s manager, Gurban Gurbanov, and the coach of the national taekwondo team, Reza Mehmandost, were named 'Head Coaches of the Year'.
ASJA has named Aliyar Aliyev (soccer) the 'Referee of the Year', and Fadai Rahimov the 'Fan of the Year', Trend reports.
