The heads of the European Commission and the European Council will discuss the problem of the migration crisis with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The meeting will be held in Brussels on October 5, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said.
According to her, protection of the external border between Greece and Turkey cannot be achieved without Ankara's support.
Merkel also expressed hope that the EU will be able to work out a common stance in dealing with the refugee problem, TASS reports.
