Military hospital opens in Georgia's Kutaisi

A new military hospital for servicemen and their families was in Georgia’s Kutaisi, the Georgian Defence Ministry said on its website.

The total cost of the project was four million GEL, of which 1.70 million was spent on purchasing medical equipment.

"A very important medical site has been added to our system today with the opening of a military hospital in Kutaisi to provide our service member with full outpatient services," Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said at the opening ceremony of the hospital.

"This centre has been completed in a very short period, seven months, demonstrating that with proper planning, such facilities can be opened quite rapidly… We pay special attention to providing the highest level of healthcare within the defence system," Agenda.ge cited Bakhtadze as saying.

Another medical centre will also be built in the village of Tserovani.
