Militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group fired upon a military unit in Turkey’s southeastern province of Hakkari.
There are no casualties as a result of the attack. Turkey started a large-scale operation against the PKK after the attack, Trend reports with reference to the Haber7 newspaper.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for over 25 years and has claimed more than 40,000 lives.
