More than 15 thousand policemen ensure safety of pilgrims to Mecca

According to the head of the General Directorate for Civil Defense of Mecca, Hamad bin Abdul Aziz al-Mubadal, this year more than 15 thousand security officers will provide the safety of pilgrims during the Hajj this yea. 

He noted that on Sunday, September 6th, the management is ready to execute the plan regarding resistance of emergency situations during the Hajj.  

He also stressed that there are 250 care centers and 55 mobile fire brigades situated near Mecca.

It is expected that this year the holy places of Islam in Mecca will be visited by more than 1.5 million pilgrims.
