State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin and the leader of the Democratic Movement Party of Georgia, Nino Burjanadze, discussed the simplification of the visa regime for Georgian citizens.
"We talked about simplifying the visa regime, at least for certain categories of Georgian citizens, because there are a lot of people who want to visit Russia. And I saw understanding during the meeting with Mr. Naryshkin," the Georgian politician said.
She called the meeting with Naryshkin very important, adding that Russian-Georgian relations have accumulated a lot of serious problems. According to her, it is impossible to resolve these issues without a serious dialogue.
Burjanadze also said she is ready to contribute to the restoration of contacts between Russian and Georgian politicians. According to her, the most important thing today is the strengthening of the dialogue between Moscow and Tbilisi.
