Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed his eldest daughter Dariga Nazarbayeva a lawmaker in the Senate, the upper chamber of the Central Asian nation's parliament, his office said in a statement.
Dariga Nazarbayeva, 53, has previously served as the deputy prime minister, Reuters reports.
