Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev was named 2015 Person of the Year in the 'International Relations' category. He became the winner of this award in 2012 and 2014.
According to the Russian Biographical Institute and Institute for Economic Strategies, President of Kazakhstan was awarded for his achievements in international policy and efforts toward strengthening of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Cuban President Raul Castro, the first President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiyev, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, Academician Leo Bokeria, film director Nikita Mikhalkov and others were nominated for the award as well, Interfax reports.
