 Nazarbayev orders pensions, salaries and allowances to be raised from January 2016

From January 1st 2016 the salaries, stipends, allowances and pensions will be increased in Kazakhstan, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

"Beginning from January 1st 2016 the government will increase salaries in healthcare by 28%, education by 29%, and social protection by 40%. In addition, in 2016 we will increase salaries of corps B civil servants by 30%," Nazarbayev said. According to the president, the funds for this purpose "will be found after the optimization of budget expenditures."

"Despite all the difficulties, we have always improved the welfare of our people. In 10 years the government's spending on social services has tripled. The number of employed in the social sector and public administration is 1.2 million people, 1.5 million citizens receive benefits and payments," the president of Kazakhstan concluded.
