Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif discussed bilateral relations during a telephone conversation, the press service of the Kazakh president said.
Sharif invited Nazarbayev to Pakistan to attend the Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in March.
The two sides exchanged congratulations on 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, expressing satisfaction with the implementation of agreements signed during Sharif's official visit to Kazakhstan in August 2015.
Sharif and Nazarbayev also discussed the situation in Afghanistan, expressing interest in peace and stability in the country, AKIpress reports.
Cooperation as part of the UN and the SCO was also discussed during the phone talk, which took place upon Pakistani side's initiative.
