Nazarbayev invites Korean companies to Kazakhstan

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev invited South Korean companies to work in Kazakhstan’s special industrial zones, the presidential press service reported.

He also invited South Korean businessmen to take part in the exhibition EXPO-2017.

According to Nazarbayev, the Republic of Korea is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan in East Asia, which invested in the country's economy of about $ 9 billion.

He explained that the decline in bilateral trade volume in 2015 was due to external factors.

"In these circumstances, it is important to give new impetus to the development of our economic cooperation," Nazarbayev noted, adding that the most promising areas are energy, agriculture, engineering and logistics, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
