A mother of the newborn that was found dead in the landfill site of Metsamor has been found, the press service of Armenia's Investigative Committee said.
She is a 37-year-old resident of Metsamor. The dead baby was her seventh child. Two other children had died in the past. At the moment, only her 1.5 year old child is under her care, whereas her three other children have health problems and are in a special care center.
A forensic autopsy has been commissioned on the body. Forensic doctors recorded soft tissue defects on the body. In addition, the dead baby’s right wrist was missing, and the left upper limb of his forearm was completely missing, News.am reported.
An investigation is underway to find out the circumstances behind this incident.
