Russia does not intend to resume import of Turkish tomatoes, the country's Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev said.
"We are not ready to do it, therefore, of course, we will not do it," the minister noted.
According to him, the representatives of the domestic business have been sent a major signal regarding the saturation of Russia's market with tomatoes and vegetables at large.
"The business responded," Tkachev said, stressing that it would be improper and unfair to reverse in respect of our producers, Gazeta.ru reports.
