The impact of the U.S. sanctions on the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will depend on the results of talks between Berlin and Washington, CEO of Austria’s OMV Rainer Seele (one of European partners of the project) said at a press conference.
According to him, the political conflict can be resolved only by diplomatic means. "I strongly hope that this political conflict can be resolved by diplomatic means," TASS cited him as saying.
Seele recalled that OMV and other partners in the project adhere to terms of the sanctions the US imposed on Nord Stream 2 earlier.
