Nigeria's Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and President of the OPEC Conference, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, called for an extraordinary meeting of the organization in early March to address the world oil prices.
According to him, the objective of the emergency meeting would be to review OPEC policy to see if there was any need to change its strategy, AFP informs.
"The prices have hit levels that necessitate a meeting," TASS cited him as saying.
