At the Primakov Readings, Assistant to the Russian President Yuri Ushakov spoke about the desire of many countries to join the BRICS association.
He stated that over 30 countries had submitted applications to participate in the association. Ushakov also noted that the number of countries that want to join BRICS was growing.
"Thailand and Malaysia are among those who have recently submitted their applications. There are already more than thirty such applications in total",
Yuri Ushakov said.
Since the beginning of this year, Russia has taken over the BRICS chairmanship. The year 2024 started for BRICS with the entry of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, the UAE and Iran.
