Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced the newly appointed National Security Secretary Armen Grigoryan to the agency’s staff, the government’s press office reports.
The PM expressed hope that the national security agency headed by Grigoryan will operate effectively overcoming challenges.
Grigoryan, on his side, expressed confidence that the security policy elaboration process will be improved.
"Armenia faces problems that need conceptual political solutions. I am sure that the team will be able to solve the problems and strengthen Armenia’s security," ARKA cited Grigoryan as saying.
Pashinyan ordered preparations for a session for discussing political issues in the context of security and other issues on the agenda.
"Security and natural development of armed forces are among our priorities, and we should do whatever is possible to ensure normal development and precise assessment of the existing problems and effective solutions," the PM said.
