Relations between Russia and Azerbaijan have reached the highest point of development, which means a lot, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, said.
"The history of relations between the two countries is more than two hundred years. We are familiar with the customs and understand each other. Today, about a half to two million Azerbaijanis live in Russia, and the largest Russian community in the South Caucasus is in Azerbaijan," Trend cited the ambassador as saying.
"Our nations are united by goodwill, we value these relations and do our best to develop the relations like this," the ambassador noted, adding that there are regular Azerbaijani-Russian forums, which are participated by representatives of Russian regions, which are interested in the development of economic and trade relations with Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan always consider the interests of its neighbors - Russia, Turkey, Iran, Georgia. The only neighbor with which we cannot find a common language is Armenia, which occupied part of Azerbaijan's territory," Polad Bulbuloglu said, explaining that this conflict is not being solved, despite the efforts of the OSCE Minsk group and the co-chairing countries, due to Armenia's non-constructive position.
