The U.S.-UK relationship in the economic and security sectors will grow stronger after Brexit, U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said, speaking to radio interviewer Hugh Hewitt.
Answering the question if the U.S.-UK relationship will grow stronger after Brexit is a reality at the end of October, Pompeo said: "I think it’s the case."
"We will have a clear line with them. We won’t have the EU as a middleman that has put constraints on our capacity to do lots of good things across not only the economic sector, but the security sector and the diplomatic sector as well," reads the transcript posted on Hugh Hewitt's website.
