United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo congratulated Salome Zurabishvili on her election as President of Georgia in a telephone conversation.
Pompeo wished her success and expressed hope that the newly elected president will visit the U.S. in the nearest future, the First Channel reported.
The Secretary of State reiterated strong support to Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
