U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will not have a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the G20 summit in Argentina, Department of State Deputy Spokesperson Robert Palladino said.
"The Secretary’s schedule at the Group of 20 Summit in Buenos Aires will follow that of the President’s, and I have no new – nothing new to announce for the Secretary," Palladino told the briefing.
U.S. President Donald Trump wrote in a Twitter post yesterday evening that he decided to cancel a bilateral meeting with the Russian president Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Buenos Aires.
