Chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee Aleksey Pushkov said today that the cause of the "refugee tsunami’’ in Europe was the foreign policy of the United States in the East. He was answering the head of the foreign policy committee of the Bundestag Norbert Rettgenu, who described the Russian air strikes on the positions of Daesh in Syria as ‘‘cruel cynicism.’’
"The "refugee tsunami’’ was not created by us, but by the results of the US policy in the Middle East. The Bundestag is looking for the guilty parties in the wrong direction,’’ he added.
