Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 25th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.
In the congratulatory message, he praised Turkmenistan's success in addressing topical issues of social and economic development, the Kremlin website said.
Putin also noted Turkmenistan's important contribution in ensuring stability and security in Central Asia.
Russian President stressed the strategic partnership between the two countries and expressed confidence in further enhancing cooperation in various fields, as well as constructive engagement in regional and international affairs.
