A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad al Thani was held today.
According to the Kremlin press service, in continuation of the talks held during the recent visit by the Emir of Qatar to Moscow, the leaders discussed topical issues surrounding the situation in Syria.
"It was agreed, in particular, to intensify bilateral contacts at various levels to promote the settlement of the crisis," TASS cites the report of the press service.
