Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Kremlin press service informs.
"A telephone conversation took place between President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz", the message says.
It is specified that Putin congratulated his interlocutor on assuming the office of chancellor. The heads of state expressed their readiness to maintain bilateral relations through various channels.
