The parliamentary faction of the Republican Party of Armenia will not put up its candidate for the prime-ministerial position, head of the faction Vahram Baghdasaryan said.
The nomination deadline is 18:00 today. The prime-ministerial election is scheduled for yesterday. If the parliament fails to elect a prime minister within two weeks after the resignation of the premier, then it is dismissed in accordance with the law, ARKA reported.
Nikol Pashinyan resigned as prime minister on October 16. This means that the deadline for nominating candidates is October 23, and a special session will be convened on October 24.
