Residents of Kazakhstan's sleepy village to be resettled in 2016

The population of the village of Berezovka, where the residents of the village have periodically been losing consciousness since the autumn of 2014, will be relocated to a new place this year, the head of the administration of the West Kazakhstan region, Nurlan Nogayev, said.

It was assumed to be caused by gases coming from the major gas field Karachaganak located near the village.

"The first stage of resettlement, adopted in conjunction with the Ministry of Energy, has been completed. 82 families have moved into 128 new flats in two-storey residential buildings in the town of Aksai. Relocation of the residents of the village of Berezovka and Bestau will be fully completed in 2016," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
