The Indonesian gymnast Rifda Irfanaluthfi said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, that she is very pleased with the experience gained at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku and with the bronze medal in the vault.
"I am very happy, because my competitor in the finals was Oksana Chusovitina. A bronze medal in this discipline is a good experience for me and a great joy, as I was counting only on the fourth place. The medal of the Islamic Solidarity Games for me is so important because this tournament is much more valuable than regular competitions," she stressed.
Rifda Irfanaluthfi admitted that now she hopes to advance to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games are held in Baku from May 8 to 22. Athletes will compete at 16 sports facilities in 20 types of sports - 17 Olympic and three non-Olympic ones. Competitions in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics were included in the program of Islamic Solidarity Games for the first time at the initiative of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan, President of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Mehriban Aliyeva.
