Iran has no tendency to enter conflict with other countries or world powers, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a phone call with Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Stressing the fact that Tehran is after developing relations with Doha, Rouhani said Iran is seeking to reinforce security in the region and has no tendency to enter conflict with other countries.
"If they start an illogical act, undoubtedly they will face firm and regrettable response," IRNA cited the Iranian president as saying.
Regional issues will have no military solution, he said, adding that Tehran believes threatening, pressure and economic sanctions are a false way in the relations between governments.
In addition, Rouhani lauded Qatari government’s stance in the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab League, and said its position is rooted in good neighborliness policy and is in line with reducing tensions.
