SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev has stated that Azerbaijan will support the actions of the OPEC in respect of freeze of oil production.
‘‘Frankly speaking, we have already supported this position and we intend to freeze oil production in 2016, i.e. to keep it at the same level. Oil production in Azerbaijan won’t be higher than last year…" he said.
It is worth noting that in 2015 the oil production level was 41.689 million tons in Azerbaijan, and in 2016 it is expected at the level of 40.7 million tons, Tass reports.
