Russia and Qatar are united in the desire to achieve stability in the energy markets, the Foreign Minister of Qatar Khaled bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah stated. He said that it is necessary to conduct a dialogue between producers and consumers of hydrocarbons in order to achieve this.
The Foreign Minister also added that, after the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Emir of Qatar Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani noted the "need for further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries with regard to trade in liquefied natural gas (LNG)."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow and Doha agreed to develop cooperation in various spheres, including the energy sector, Tass reports.
