Russia's Central Election Commission: Abdulatipov responsible for bad elections

The responsibility for the bad conduct of the State Duma elections on September 18 in Dagestan lies, in particular, on the head of the republic Ramazan Abdulatipov, the chair of Russia's Central Election Commission,  Ella Pamfilova, said.

Pamfilova singled out Dagestan as one of the federation subjects where irregularities during the State Duma elections on September 18, 2016 were most blatant and prevalent.

She made it quite clear that she holds the republic's leaders directly responsible for exerting pressure on local authorities to ensure overwhelming support for United Russia, RFE/RL reported.
